  • Honey

Instructions

  1. Retrieve fillo dough from refrigerator and allow to reach room temperature while still sealed in packaging.
  2. Preheat fan-forced oven to 180°C with rack positioned in center.
  3. Generously brush two 12-hole and one 6-hole muffin trays with melted butter, ensuring complete coverage.
  4. Cut feta cheese into uniform strips approximately 1-1.5 cm wide.
  5. Spread fillo sheets on clean surface and slice stack lengthwise into two equal sections. Brush top layer of each section with melted butter, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and chili flakes. Position feta strips near one edge, leaving 1.5 cm margin.
  6. Tightly roll each section into compact logs, folding bottom edge over cheese first to secure filling.
  7. Slice logs into 15 equal segments using sharp knife. Carefully place each piece into prepared muffin tray compartments.
  8. Drizzle one tablespoon melted butter over each pastry roll, ensuring thorough coating.
  9. Bake for 35 minutes until pastries achieve deep golden-brown coloration. Allow five-minute resting period after removing from oven.
  10. Transfer bites to serving plate and finish by drizzling honey across surface, then garnish with black sesame seeds.
